To-do for 2016

As an IT worker, I have to re-learn my position every 3 years. This is due to the fact that Microsoft releases a new version (of their Server software, Exchange, office suite, etc.), or there has been a technology shift from one Linux specialty to another.

To combat this change and to stay ahead of the technology bubble, I have to be self-motivated to be on the front-end. Here is what I have scheduled for 2016:Reading Goals

• MySQL High Availability by Charles Bell, Mats Kindahl, and Lars Thalmann

• Ruby Essential Training
• Ruby on Rails 4 Essential Training
• RSpec Testing Framework with Ruby

Personal Goals

• Achieve RHSCA Certification
• Make 15 commits to an Open Source project
• Take my family on a monthly activity
• Blog once a week (Fridays)
